OPTION 1:
Today, July 4 or so-called Independence Day, NDN Action Network and 60+ local organizations, allies, and businesses will March Toward Justice in solidarity against police violence and systemic racism in Rapid City, SD.
OPTION 2:
The #MarchTowardsJustice is a declaration that we stand together & we will not tolerate police violence in our communities!
OPTION 3:
From 2001-2023 there have been 79 police-involved shootings statewide, 0 convictions of police officers. 75% of the fatal shooting victims were Indigenous People.
OPTION 4:
The 3,000 Indigenous students currently enrolled are the most heavily disciplined as 100% of expulsions are Indigenous-identified youth.
OPTION 5:
Indigenous People are only 10% of the population of South Dakota and comprise 51% of the prison population.
